POLICE DISCUSS ARRESTS OF 7 MEN IN LOUISVILLE HUMAN TRAFFICKING STING

During Operation Bright Light, seven men traveled to a hotel room because they thought they were meeting a minor for sex. Instead, they were met by an undercover police officer. “The name I chose was Operation Bright Light because this is a very dark and heinous crime and I want to shed that bright light on it,” LMPD Sex Crimes Detective Kris Pedigo said.

UTAH PILOTS LANDING AT EVERY AIRPORT IN THE STATE TO RAISE AWARENESS OF CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING

A group of five pilots raised money and awareness for O.U.R. by flying to airports across the state of Utah. This group harnessed their unique talents and interests to create local awareness through this “Flights for Freedom” fundraiser. 

MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEY INVESTING $2 MILLION TO PREVENT YOUTH SEX TRAFFICKING

The Manhattan, NY, District Attorney said, “Through this investment in mentorship, case management, and emergency assistance, we will not only support child survivors of sex trafficking, we will help prevent children from being exploited in the first place.” He hopes to create short-term and long-term solutions to help these young survivors. 

TWO YAKIMA MEN ARRESTED IN SEX TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION OF TEEN GIRL

Police arrested a 42-year-old man and 63-year-old for the exploitation and trafficking of a 16-year-old girl. Human trafficking and exploitation even happens in places like Yakima, Washington, and it is important to spread awareness so we can prevent more children and teens from being abused.
